Since many of us now have a whole lot of free time on our hands, this is an opportunity for us all to spend some much needed time on developing a strong personal practice where we work on improving our sleep, mobility, building our physical strength, learning new motor skills, and overall getting in touch with these magnificent and complex bodies of ours.
In light of Covid-19 and social distancing, I will be holding remote classes and workshops online for Free (if you wish to donate, that’s wonderful , if you can’t or don’t want to not a problem, show up anyways so we can all stay strong and healthy together). In unsteady times like these where our stress levels can be elevated and our physical activity significantly reduced, we all need to make sure to keep our minds and bodies healthy.
These classes are open for anyone to join, you don’t have to be a climber (although all of the work will directly benefit most climbers), or a dancer, or super star mover, they will benefit everyone, even if you are a beginner, so feel free to share with your friends and family.
This upcoming week I will be hosting three types of classes, the descriptions and schedule are listed below. They will be hosted on a service called Zoom which has a free desktop and mobile application. You don’t need much more than a floor, a couple of towels, and maybe a yoga block or a pillow as a bolster.
Class Descriptions:
Core Strength and Conditioning: This class is focused on building a well rounded and strong core. You can apply most of the skills you learn in this class to daily life, as well as athletic performance.
Mobility Fundamentals: The goal of this class is to simplify the complex topic of mobility, introduce you to 3-4 stretches and mobility drills that you can easily do anywhere, every day, with minimal to no tools available. If you take the time to practice these drills, you will feel less stiff, your posture will dramatically improve, and many more movements, activities, and types of exercise will be available to you in a safe manner.
Strength and Mobility Flow: This class will combine core, full body strength, and active mobility drills into one unique flow. You will have the opportunity to build strength throughout your whole body, master fundamental body-weight exercises, learn new motor skills, and elevate your heart rate to improve your cardiovascular health.
